Has anyone travel or dove anything interesting? Also, UEA is looking for a travel spot for next year.

Better put Australia on your list then Ric, Great Barrier reef in Queensland, mating Cuttlefish and leafy sea dragons in South Australia (see my video's) then swing by Melbourne for all the wrecks http://www.theage.com.au/news/national/shipwreck-stories-of-the-bay/2008/01/07/1199554557823.html and spectacular reefs both shallow and deep that we have on offer. If it's caves that you want, then there is Tank, Piccinine Ponds and so many more lime stone caves around the Mt Gambier region, Wellington with Cathedral Cave, Limburner and Anticline, or you could head for the Nullabor plains and the cave diving over there including Cocklebiddy http://www.cavediving.net.au/.

I have heard through a close friend, an aussie charter operator (surfers) with liveaboard boats inspected and begin to setup over there. While the boats conditions were very average he said they had a much larger vessel that they intended to use. Not sure where they are with it as yet but have been told by numerous people who have dived it, that it has been the pinicale in wreck diving that they have done.
http://www.youtube.com/user/Alanbeck1 Here is a nice bit of video produced by two of our local divers Alan Beckhurst & Mary Malloy. It gives you a bit of a look at some of the reef inside the heads of Port Phillip Bay and my local diving. Link will not work unless you highlight it and google it.

The Bay of All Saints in Salvador de Bahia has over 90 wrecks. There are many small islands off Rio and a really big but distant island off the North coast with many large marine animals. Best time of year there is Dec thru March........
Peru is just opening up to diving. I know of only one diveshop in Lima but it arranges dives for the southern spots and for Punta Sal and other northern spots. Again the winter months Dec thru April is the best times there (these are summer months in South America)
